  • Q&A with West’s Video Game Design Instructor


    I've always wanted to know how things work. When I was a kid, I was taking apart broken vacuum cleaners, digging holes in the back yard, and building model rockets. Once out in the professional world, I was startled to find that not everyone enjoyed science as much as I did, and so I decided to weave together my two major passions - science and games - and use that help others to find their own joy and meaning in science.

    It’s another morning, and I’m up before the sun rises. I gently wake up each of the folks I’m taking care of, checking in on them. How are they feeling? How did they sleep? I meet with my co-workers to go over our plan for the day – whom we might need to spend some extra time with, who had a rough day yesterday and needs support, who requires a special meal and who might need some time alone.
