Greetings from your Sci-Tech Game Club Host and Game Design Instructor extraordinaire, Troy Mundschenk!
I’m writing because I want to feature a game YOU made this year on our camp’s Twitch channel during our Game Design Showcase!”
For the second time ever, we will be showcasing the games our community has made during the past year as part of our end-of-year Game-A-Thon! That way, members of our community can see some of the incredible game demos (or full games!) that our campers, alumni, and staff have made during the year 2025.
How do I submit my game to the showcase?
To have your game featured during the game-a-thon, go to https://donate.reformjudaism.org/ShareLight2025 and click the “Register for Minecraft or Game Design Showcase” button! Register on the following page and answer a few short questions about your game! Games can either be completed games or just game demos. The deadline to register is Monday, December 1. Participation is FREE, but we encourage you to donate! All funds raised go directly to scholarships for campers in need.
How will my game be showcased?
I, along with the other host of Sci-Tech’s Game Club, Isaac Berman, will be showing clips of gameplay from each game submitted and commenting on how they relate to our Sci-Tech Game Rubric on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30 pm ET. Folks who submit their games will not be on the stream themselves but will be able to participate in the chat! If you can’t make the live event, you’ll be able to watch the recording of the event afterward, so don’t worry if you can’t attend live. We encourage anyone who wants to showcase their game to submit the above form!
When and What is the Game-A-Thon?
From Sunday, December 14th, to Tuesday, December 16th, Sci-Tech will again be putting on our Annual Game-a-Thon. The Game-A-Thon is a yearly community celebration where we raise money for scholarships during our end-of-year scholarship campaign, play Minecraft together during our winter Minecraft meetup, and highlight our community’s love of games by livestreaming some great games on Twitch!
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Sincerely,
Troy Mundschenk
