We are excited to share beginning in summer 2027, URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy will relocate to the Westtown School campus in West Chester, PA, where we will join with URJ 6 Points Creative Arts Academy to become URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech & Arts Academy. This move will bring together the best of 6 Points Sci-Tech and 6 Points Creative Arts—expanding opportunities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) while continuing to create the powerful Jewish community, values-driven culture, and signature traditions that define the 6 Points experience.
There will be no significant programmatic changes for the upcoming summer, Summer 2026. 6 Points Sci-Tech will remain at Governor’s Academy. Registration is underway. If you have not registered, please do so. And if you know potential campers, please encourage them to register so they get the session and workshop of their choice.
This transition brings together the strengths, traditions, and educational excellence of both Sci-Tech and Creative Arts. The combined camp will expand opportunities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) while strengthening the long-term sustainability of specialty camping within the URJ. The Westtown campus—current home of Creative Arts—offers state-of-the-art facilities, including fully air-conditioned dorms, indoor science spaces, a new dining hall opening in 2027, an indoor pool, and a state-of-the-art theater and arts building.
In addition, this move strengthens the long-term sustainability of specialty camping and allows us to create a more dynamic, innovative, and inclusive program for our campers. As we look toward this next phase, the URJ remains deeply committed to the values, relationships, and transformative experiences that have made 6 Points Sci-Tech and 6 Points Creative Arts so impactful. We are excited to build this future together and to welcome campers and families into an inspired, integrated community beginning in 2027.
We are pleased to share that Jayme Mallindine will serve as the Senior Director of URJ Sci-Tech & Arts Academy. Erin Levine will continue as a full-time year-round staff member along with Creative Arts’ full-time staff. Rabbi Dan Medwin’s last day with Sci-Tech will be February 27, 2026. We plan to honor Rabbi Dan in the Spring for his commitment to Sci-Tech. More details will follow.
To support families through this transition, we have prepared an attached Q&A with additional details about the program, campus, and planning process.
Thank you for being a vital part of the Sci-Tech community. We look forward to building this exciting next chapter—together.
