This Hanukkah, Thursday, December 10th through Thursday, December 17th, Sci-Tech will be celebrating the festival of lights through a daily dose of laughter, games, and candle lighting that’s sure to brighten up your day!
As part of our end-of-year scholarship campaign, Sci-Tech is hosting a Hanukkah Game-A-Thon! Our Game-A-Thon is like a Walk-A-Thon, with different staff and staff alumni teams pledging to raise a certain amount of money in donations prior to them walking or, in our case, gaming! Our teams are not only competing to raise the most donations but also to get the most views, and they need YOUR help!
All Game-A-Thon events will be happening on our Twitch channel at www.twitch.tv/6PointsSciTechEast/. The games and times differ from day to day, so join us one day, two days, or all the days! You can stay for the entire stream or watch just the hanukkiah lighting (which happens at the beginning of each stream), whatever works best for you!
What is Twitch.tv?
Twitch.tv is a FREE game-enthusiast site that specializes in live-streaming video broadcasts where viewers can interact with streamers through chat! You can learn more about Twitch at www.6PointsSciTech.org/GameAThon/.
How do I participate during streams?
To participate in our Game-A-Thon, all you have to do is go to www.Twitch.tv/6PointsSciTechEast throughout Hanukkah on the days you want to watch! Streaming happens live (just like Facebook Live) and you can only participate in the chat while the stream is happening. You MUST be logged into a Twitch account to type in the chat.
Can I get reminders?
Of course! You can follow us on www.Twitch.tv/6PointsSciTechEast to get Twitch notifications and you can sign up for email reminders at www.6PointsSciTech.org/GameAThon.

Who is competing and how do I support them?
You can support your favorite team or teams by either donating to their team by scrolling down and clicking that team on our End-of-Year Campaign page OR by watching them on Twitch on their game day! The team who gets the most views and the team who raises the most money will be getting special prizes chosen by the camp directors and the Twitch viewers.

Is there a schedule?
Yes! The games and time change every day! You can click here to download a PDF of the schedule, or take a look at the days, times, teams, and games below!
